The occupational regime demands payment of fine in return to the release of two Georgian citizens detained 2 days ago near Akhmaji village, Akhalgori district of occupied South Ossetian region. As reported, the detained men Giorgi Shukakidze, 20, and Joni Tatarashvili, 42, are transported to Akhalgori Militia Department but will presumably be sent to Tskhinvali prison. According to Akhalgori Governor Nugzar Tinikashvili, the detainees are residents of Okami village. They were collecting firewood when detained.

Two Georgian citizens were detained near Akhmaji village, Akhalgori district of occupied South Ossetian region. The State Security Service confirms the information. As reported, the detained men have been transported to Akhalgori Militia Department but they will allegedly be sent to Tskhinvali remand center. An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a terror offence in connection with Friday's attack on a London Tube train, - BBC reported. Officers of Russia’s Security Federal Service Border Department detained a citizen of Georgia in Gali on charge of having crossed the so-called Abkhazian border. The Sputnik news agency has reported. ‘Citizen of Georgia M. Tsvishbaia had no necessary documents to cross the state border of Abkhazian Republic and deliberately violated the border avoiding to cross it via checkpoints,’ reads the statement released by the department. As reported M. Tsvishbaia was also detained in 2015 for the same reason. The detainee has been sent to the so-called competent agencies of Occupied Abkhazia.

She returned home, however was obliged to arrive at the so called investigative agency again this morning.De facto South Ossetian law enforcers searched her house as well.Politicians are responding the fact of the detention of Tamar Mearakishvili. Response of the Kremlin to Washington - Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to arrive in Georgia’s one of two occupied regions of Abkhazia on August 8. The visit coincides with the 9th anniversary of outbreak of the August 2008 Georgian-Russian war. Official Tbilisi evaluates the visit as provocation and Russia’s reaction to the recent visit of US Vice President Mike Pence in Georgia. The move against Georgia and irritation around Georgia’s strong support by the official Washington also includes continuation of so-called illegal border demarcation works in Shida Kartli region. The de- facto authorities of occupied South Ossetia are going to erect a fence at the village of Artsevi with trenches starting tomorrow, - the de facto security service reports."The border service of the South Ossetian State Security Committee will conduct engineering works for two weeks with purpose of restoring fire protection line at the state border with Georgia," the statement reads. According to the de facto office, works will be held from August 3 through August 18.Russian media sources report that Putin’s visit in occupied Abkhazia includes negotiations with the so-called President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba." Two shepherds have been abducted by Russian soldiers from Flavismani village, which is adjacent to the occupational line in Gori Municipality, Shida Kartli region. Georgian citizens, a father and son, Archiko and Papuna Rogavas detained by the Abkhazian occupational regime, have been imposed imprisonment with term of 2 years and 2 months based on the decision of de-facto Abkhazian court. The two men were detained on April 5 and were charged for having attempted to cross the so-called border illegally. The Georgian side raised the issue within the framework of meetings of Group on Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms several times. The family of Rogavas is now asking for help from the government.
