The officers of Samtskhe-Javakheti police department along with Patrol Police officers as a result of jointly held operative-investigative activities exposed 4 persons for illegal cutting of the wood and another person exposed for violating technical regulations of the wood processing mill.In Borjomi and Adigheni regions law enforcers seized illegally cut wood from the vehicles of the exposed persons and locked down wood processing mill in Borjomi.Investigation is in progress under the article 303, I part of the Criminal Code, article 128 (3) part I under the Code of Administrative Offences.

Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has released an official statement over fortnight’s special operation when drug dealers were arrested.As reported by the ministry, N.J. born in 1989 and M.J. born in 1976 were arrested for illegal possession and purchase of drugs in Ponichala settlement, Tbilisi. ‘As investigated, the detainees systematically sold the drugs. Police seized heroine in 33 packs. Investigation has been underway according to the 1st and 4th parts of the 260th article of Georgia’s Criminal Code,’ reads the statement.

Salome Novruzashvili, an 80-year-old woman was attacked with a knife by an unknown person in Akhalkalaki village, Kaspi district of Shida Kartli region.
