Discussion on Constitutional Changes starts in Berlin


How Venice Commission evaluates the changes in the Constitution of Georgia. Discussion of constitutional changes started in Berlin today.

The conclusion prepared by international experts will be published on June 16.

Primary assessment is positive, but experts call on the parties involved in the process to reach consensus.

The conference in Berlin is organized with the assistance of the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ). The speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze has introduced the constitutional changes to the Secretary of the Venice Commission and experts.

The conference is attended by the members of the Parliament, President's Administration, International organizations, NGOs and experts.
