Discussions are being held over the package of amendments proposed to be made into Constitution of Georgia with Secretary of Venice Commission of the Council of Europe Thomas Markert.

The meeting with Georgian delegation members is being held in Berlin, Germany. The main focus is placed on election rule of President and distribution of MP mandates. Markert calls on the political parties for reaching consensus.

The ruling team claims that the new version of Constitution is in full compliance with legal principles and will serve as the guarantee of the country’s stable development.
