Ketevan Tsikhelashvili - suspension prosecution against Giga Otkhozoria's murderer is unacceptable

The suspension prosecution against Giga Otkhozoria's murderer is unacceptable  - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equity made the regarding statement.

“Several days ago during the meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism in Gali we learnt from the participants of the Abkhazian side a very disappointing statement that the persecution was suspended against the person accused of killing Giga Otkhozoria, which is an unacceptable move”, - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said.

“The work will continue until Justice will be enforced and the convict will be punished, especially if there are visible and very solid evidences in this case. This is a serious tragedy and naturally it will be on our agenda,” - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said.

Interpol has put Rashid Kanji-Ogli, the person accused of killing Giga Otkhozoria at the so-called administrative border in Khurcha, Abkhazia, on the wanted list. Rashid Kanji-Ogli was sentenced to 14 years in jail in absentia. Later, Kutaisi Appeal Court aggravated his charges. The so-called border guard, Rashid Kanji-Ogli murdered Georgian citizen Giga Otkhozoria on May 19, 2016 near the so called border at the Khurcha village.
