Lawyers of Afgan Mukhtarli, Azeri journalist who disappeared from Tbilisi, may apply to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Wife of the journalist Leila Mustafaeva accuses Chief Prosecutor’s Office of inactivity and believes that investigation had to be launched after 24 hours from disappearance of her husband from center of Tbilisi.

Mustafaeva also commented about the statement of Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili who excluded participation of state structures into the case. She said she suspected that the Georgian side was cooperating with Azerbaijani government.

Mustafaeva visited Old Tbilisi Police Department on June 6 where she consulted about security issues with law-enforcers. The family of Azeri journalist will have security guards as it was decided during the meeting.
