Interior Ministry launches investigation into Eliava Marketplace fire

Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched investigation into the fire that hit Eliava Marketplace. As reported by the agency, the probe has been underway according to the 187th article of Georgia’s Criminal Code that envisages cases of harming or destroying one’s property. 

As reported by the ministry, fire has been localized a long ago and liquidation works are underway. Up to 30 teams of rescuers and 150 firefighters were working at the scene.

‘The 112 emergency service was informed that several shops of vehicle parts were hit by fire at the so-called Eliava Marketplace territory. The teams of firefighters and rescuers arrived at the scene without delay,’-the statement reports.
