Vladimir Putin meets with Raul Khajimba

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Raul Khajimba, de-facto president of Georgia’s one of two occupied regions of Abkhazia. 

During a joint press conference held after the meeting, Putin said that Russia would continue providing economic assistance to Abkhazia.  The sides discussed the plan for establishment of joint military groups on the base of Abkhazian armed forces. 

Khajimba thanked Russian President for support and underlined that Abkhazia will always remain a friend and ally of Russia.
