Georgia addresses Ukraine requesting extradition of Saakashvili

Georgia addressed Ukraine requesting to launch search efforts of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, as well as his arrest and extradition, Ukraine’s Deputy Justice Minister Sergey Petukhov informs. 

The Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has sent the request to the Prosecutor General and Justice Ministry of Ukraine, - he has said. 

Chief Prosecutor’s Office says that Saakashvili is charged into 4 cases. It also underlined that Georgia repeatedly applied to Ukraine with extradition request of Saakashvili on September 1, 2017.
