Megis Kardava, former high-ranking official of Military Police of Georgian Defense Ministry detained in Ukraine, has no claims about political asylum in Ukraine - his lawyer said and added that his defendant had not talked to him about this issue.
Megis Kardava, wanted by Georgia with Interpol Red Notice was detained in Ukraine 2 days ago. He was traveling from Turkey. He is sentenced to 9-year imprisonment in absentia in Georgia on charge of torture, exceeding of official duty and murder of Colonel Sergo Tetradze.
