The Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association
(GYLA) claims that medication of C Hepatitis is not in line with the set plan.
The GYLA obtained the information from Ministry of Penitentiary, Corrections
and Legal Assistance.
Based on the information of 2014, 192
patients are undergoing treatment instead of 500. There is the same situation
in civil sector. Only 736 people take use of discounts on medicines instead of
10 thousand.
The GYLA suspects that the reason of
non-fulfilled plan is un-financed diagnostics the cost of which is 900 GEL
covered by patients. The organization urges Health Ministry to finance
diagnostic expenses.
