Controversy continues at Constitutional Court

Controversy between Constitutional Court judges continues – Judges are talking about existence of the political interests in the court.

Three Constitutional Court’s judges: Ketevan Eremadze, Maia Kopaleishvili and Konstantine Vardzelashvili have issued a statement today. According to them the constitutional complaint on so-called cables case was registered in accordance with the law and the Judge Merab Turava is trying to present this issue as a political one.

Merab Turava also explains his position and arguments.

It’s unknown yet whether or not the Constitutional Court will be able to continue proceedings into so called cables and Gigi Ugulava’s cases. The tomorrow's sitting may be disrupted as Merab Turava and other four judges may not attend it.
