Fire has been liquidated in the Chailuri forest in Sagarejo, Georgia’s Kakheti region. Firefighters and rescuers had been combating fire all night long. As reported by the Emergency Situations Management Agency, Fire broke out in the Chailuri forest yesterday.

The occupational regime demands payment of fine in return to the release of two Georgian citizens detained 2 days ago near Akhmaji village, Akhalgori district of occupied South Ossetian region. As reported, the detained men Giorgi Shukakidze, 20, and Joni Tatarashvili, 42, are transported to Akhalgori Militia Department but will presumably be sent to Tskhinvali prison. According to Akhalgori Governor Nugzar Tinikashvili, the detainees are residents of Okami village. They were collecting firewood when detained.

“Geo-Coal GIG” Company released a statement about death of Davit Porchkidze, leading specialist in Mindeli Mine of Tkibuli town. The company expressed condolence to the family of the deceased miner. The dead body of the miner is transferred to Kutaisi Morgue. Collapse of land mass in the mine is said to have served as reason of the fatal incident according to the company’s statement.

Social enterprise “Ikorta” has been opened in Tserovani village, Shida Kartli region. The enterprise was financed by Children and Youth Development Fund of Sports Ministry. The project aims at training and employment of IDP youngsters. The wood material was confiscated and illegal factories – sealed. The material is sent for expertise.

The road in Zoti village, Chokhatauri Municipality of western Guria region is opened. The road was closed on October 17. Flooded Gubazeuli River destroyed part of the road and about 250 families were cut off the rest of the region. Heavy vehicles are working at site. The amount of inflicted damage is being calculated. 

Fifteen families have been evacuated from Keda district of Adjara region due to landslides. Traffic movement is limited. Courtyards are flooded. Some subscribers of the region are left without electricity supply. The Central Park is flooded. Geologists are studying territories hit by the landslide. It depends on the conclusion whether or not the evacuated families will have to search for alternative living spaces.
