What are Georgia’s chances at Riga Summit?

Will or not Georgia expect visa-free regime with Europe – Top EU diplomats are gathered in Latvia’s capital 2 months ahead of Riga Summit.

The 2-day informal meeting will wrap up on March 7. Foreign Ministers will make statements tomorrow. The sides will discuss what will be part of the May summit declaration and which moves will be made for those countries which have already signed Association Agreements with the European Union.

Georgian Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili says that official Tbilisi expects a positive account on technical issues at Riga Summit. She does not count on political decision about visa liberalization, though.
