Former UNM members make first joint statement

Former members of the parliamentary oppositional United National Movement (UNM) Party made the first joint statement.

Four members of UNM - Zurab Japaridze, Pavle Kublashvili, Goga Khachidze and Giorgi Meladze – who left the Party explained reasons.

“We see the real threat about coming of pro-Russian forces with the majority in the future parliamentary elections. The UNM did not pass the third test,” reads one of the passages of the statement.

Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili commented on the decision of former UNM members. He said he prognosticated further split in the party and division of UNM into 3 groups.
