NATO will undertake new obligations with respect to Georgia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in response to a Georgian journalist's question about whether Georgia has all tools for NATO membership and whether this will be reflected in the communiqué of the NATO foreign ministers.

"As I said, we strongly support Georgia's aspirations to join the Alliance. Today we have seen that NATO's door remains open. We have confirmed it by inviting Montenegro," Stoltenberg said.

He explained that the Alliance continues to work with Georgia. "Georgia is making a significant progress. I visited this country and took part in the opening of the NATO training center there. We have been working with Georgia in a number of areas for years. In addition, we are expanding the political dialogue. That is why we continue to work with Georgia.

We will publish a communiqué, will undertake new commitments and will express our strong support for Georgia's aspirations," NATO Secretary General said.
