NATO-Georgia Commission - Warsaw in center of media

Poland’s capital Warsaw is in the center of attention of Georgian and international media. What will be written in communiqué of NATO-Georgia Commission, which is being held on the sidelines of NATO summit? Commission members are working on the final version of the document. 

James Appathurai, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy said that Georgia had achieved progress after NATO Wales Summit and this progress would be fixed in the communiqué. 

Statements were heard in support of Georgia before that. At the Warsaw summit, NATO will demonstrate support to Georgia and Ukraine and their Euro-Atlantic aspirations. "The Summit will again demonstrate that NATO's door is open. We are working with Georgia and Ukraine, as close partners. We support their reforms aimed at achieving NATO standards ", - Stoltenberg said.

In Stoltenberg’s words, the essential package and the NATO-Georgia joint training center is an important signal of support for NATO. "We welcome the progress made", Stoltenberg said.

The Georgian delegation at Warsaw NATO Summit expects that Georgia’s aspiration to become integrated in NATO will be fixed in NATO Communiqué. Georgian Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli hopes that the alliance will make the decision about engagement of Georgia in Black Sea Security format. 

The delegation members anticipate that the alliance will positively evaluate the reforms carried out by the country and fix strong support to Georgia.
