Human rights watches are talking about the alarming statistics of family violence and are asking the authorities for reaction. Four cases of family violence that resulted in fatality took place in 2016.

A husband killed his wife in Ponichala settlement of Tbilisi today. The 20-year-old young woman was cut her throat.

The man was detained red-handed, and the crime tool, a knife was confiscated. Jealousy is named to have served as motive of the murder.

The 26-year-old man admitted the guilt. Investigation is being held on charge of premeditated murder.
