NDI publishes report about parliamentary elections

The National-Democratic Institute (NDI) published a report about the organization’s observation mission carried out during the 2016 parliamentary elections in Georgia.

Based on the report, elections were held in an open and competitive environment. Political entities had the ability to carry out pre-election campaign.

The report also mentions some facts of violence and frightening and low qualification of election commission members.

According to the organization, the right of freedom of expression and assemblage was more or less well observed. The NDI provides some recommendations for the government’s attention.
