Kakha Kaladze to meet with Gazprom leadership in Minsk

Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze will meet with the leadership of Gazprom-Export Company during his working visit to Minsk, Belarus. 

According to Ministry of Energy, the topic of discussion will be transit of natural gas from Russian to Armenia. As it is known, the Georgian side gets 10% of the total volume of the natural gas transited to Armenia through Georgia. 

Validity of the corresponding agreement is one year and now talks are underway on its extension. Gazprom offers the Georgian side money in exchange for the transit. Two meetings have already been held on the issue, though no agreement could yet been reached.
