Publish Time 2017-01-29 12:06:00 Update Time 2017-01-29 16:08:00

Whereabouts of Giorgi Lukava is  still unknown. The family of Giorgi Lukava, who is imposed imprisonment across the territory of occupied Abkhazia region,  is trying to determine the man’s whereabouts. He disappeared from Drandi prison three days ago.

Family members claim that Lukava, who is participant of Abkhazia war, contacted them and told that his transfer from Drandi prison to another penitentiary facility was planned. Lukava’s family is asking from the government for help.

The State Security Service is informed and reportedly, the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) is also notified.

The de-facto Abkhazian authorities do not confirm Lukava’s transfer to another location. The man was arrested in Abkhazia 5 years ago and was sentenced to life-imprisonment.
