Vice colonel Gia Tsertsvadze is asking for a political asylum for him and his family in Ukraine. Tsertsvadze’s family confirms the information. As Gia Tsertsvadze told Rustavi-2 TV Company from Ukraine, there is a risk of exerting psychological pressure on his child and such facts have already taken place. "I was told that my son, when he was walking with a classmate on the street, was told that his father was gone to Ukraine for money and that I'm a hired killer," Tsertsvadze said. As for a political asylum, Gia Tsertsvadze said he could not feel safe in Georgia. "The fact that I was not warned at the airport that Interpol had launched a search for me and let me go to other country which might hand me over to Russia means that I cannot feel safe in Georgia. I do not trust the agencies of our country. A very unpleasant fact happened when secret documents, which were alone kept in the relevant agencies, somehow got into the hands of the Russian Federation," Tsertsvadze said. ფოტოგალერეა
