Will GPB’s Development Strategy change?
Public discussions in open format will begin over the 3-year action plan of Georgian Public Broadcaster’s (GPB) development and transformation, presented by General Director Vasil Maghlaperidze on February 6, starting this Thursday.
Maghlaperidze and members of GPB Board of Trustees will become introduced with the vision of employees and representatives of civil sector. An Initiative Group is established at GPB that will present an alternative version about how to overcome the crisis.
Ia Antadze, Advisor of General Director says that if GPB Board of Trustees fully shares the 3-year action plan, mass dismissal of employees will begin but the process will be in compliance with the law. It is not yet known how many employees will have to quit their jobs.
The Board of Trustees of GPB today held a working meeting with participation of Maghlaperidze, GPB employees and media experts. All sides have questions to GPB General Director.
