Georgian President continues consultations over draft-bill about secret wiretapping

Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili continues consultations over the draft-bill regarding so-called secret wiretapping. President will hold a meeting with representatives of Patriots’ Alliance Faction this afternoon. 

President expressed willingness to hold consultations over the issue last week. Members of the ruling team rejected the idea from the beginning. 

The 10-day term for signing the draft-bill or vetoing it by President expires on March 21. Legislative changes were approved by the parliament during the extraordinary sitting on March 1 with 87 votes for.
