Court trial into case of 6 people detained during March 12 Batumi protest

Batumi City Court will discuss the case of 6 people detained during the March 12 protest in Batumi, Adjara region. There is one juvenile among the detained. Charges are already presented to the persons.

Tsiala Katamadze, a representative of Georgian Public Defender’s Office visited 5 detainees in pre-detention cell.

Katamadze said that the detainees had no claims against law-enforcers and did not confirm the fact of discriminative attitude. Public Defender’s Office is monitoring investigation into the case.
