Visa-free travel to Europe possible for Georgian citizens

“Visa-free travel to Europe will be possible for the Georgian citizens starting today. This is a big achievement, good possibility for Georgian citizens to better know about European Union and its values,” Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated. 

Kvirikashvili left for Athens together with students, scientists and representatives of the media and government. Within the framework of the visit, Georgian PM will open a conference in Athens on topic “Georgia from Europe to Europe.” A meeting with Greek PM is planned. 

Kvirikashvili will then leave for Brussels where he will meet with Donald Tusk, President of European Council and Jean-Claude Junker, President of European Commission. The sides will make joint statements. A solemn reception will be held on behalf of the Georgian government in Brussels.
