Eleven thousand people die of tobacco consumption every year in Georgia. Three thousand people among them are passive smokers – the alarming statistics was introduced to Georgian lawmakers by representatives of World Health Organization (WHO) today. Foreign specialists stressed on the necessity to make tobacco control mechanisms and regulations stricter. The Health Committee is working on legislative regulations, which will be activated in 2017.
