Parliamentary elections begin in Armenia

Voting at the parliamentary elections in Armenia began at 08:00 local time on Sunday at 2,009 polling stations throughout the republic.

The election is contested by five parties and four blocks, barriers for passage in Parliament for a 5 and 7%, respectively. To take part in the vote, about 2.5 million people in the country.

It is noted that the parliamentary elections will be the first in the country since the moment when Armenia moved to a parliamentary form of government.
