Law enforcers reveal criminal scheme involving false passports
Georgian Interior Ministry’s General Inspection, State Security Service and Patrol Police Department have revealed the criminal scheme of departure for European countries by false passports.
According to Georgia’s Interior Ministry, Turkish citizen Berkant D. was one of the organizers of the scheme who provided Iranian citizens’ departure for Europe in exchange for great sum of money. After receiving the money he and his criminal accomplices made false passports for them, brought them to Georgia and bought air tickets for them by using different passport data (real and false) to Turkey and European countries.
Turkish citizen Berkant D. and one Iranian citizen have been detained by Georgia’s Interior Ministry’s General Inspection.
