Russia has termed the decision made by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe with regard to Georgia as biased and stated that it was necessary to seriously consider whether Geneva meetings will continue in the existing format. According to RIA Novosti news agency, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that on May 3 the Committee of Ministers adopted another "decision on Georgia without consensus". "The document is astonishing. It declares that Abkhazia and South Ossetia belong to Georgia and tries to hold Russia responsible for the conflicts Georgia has with these republics, which have never been part of Georgia. Tbilisi, with the support of Western patrons, continues false propaganda on international sites, the only goal of which is not to have normal relations with neighbors. The Georgian delegation systematically refuses to cooperate with the Geneva discussions on security issues in Transcaucasia. In this situation we have to think seriously about the continuation of Geneva meetings in the current format," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. ფოტოგალერეა
