Two persons detained on charge of selling non-excise tobacco

Officers of Investigation Service of Finance Ministry detained two persons on charge of keeping, selling and transporting non-excise tobacco products. 

One of the charged persons kept cigarettes without excise stamps in a cellar in Tskaltubo district of Imereti region. 

Tobacco is confiscated as evidence upon search of the detainees’ houses. Investigation into the case is ongoing. The charge envisages from 6 to 8 years in prison.
