Georgian athletes allegedly among the criminal gang members arrested in New York
Georgian sportsmen Avtandil Khurtsidze and Levan Makashvili are among the members of criminal gang arrested in New York recently.
The Georgian Boxing Federation has information that both athletes are training in Brooklyn, although they cannot connect to them and the information about detention cannot be verified for the time being.
Georgian members of criminal gang arrested in New York. About 15 people were detained, including several so called ‘Thieves-in-law’, - the US Department of Justice reports in that regard.
The members of the Russian-Georgian gang are accused of illegally extorting money, illegal drug trafficking, murder and possessing illegal firearms.
According to New York police, the gang operated on the territory of US from New York to Las Vegas.
