Landslide hits Tskneti-Akhaldaba road

The landslide blocked Tskneti-Akhaldaba road today. This is the same section which became the reason of deadly flooding in Tbilisi on June 13, 2015.

Heavy vehicles are working at site. Brigades of Patrol Police and Rescue Service are present. Saburtalo-Vake new road was closed for a while. However, traffic movement has been restored for the time being. 

Hailstorm hit Gldani and Didi Dighomi districts of Tbilisi this afternoon. Video material was released through social networks.

According to Emergency Situations Management Agency, 4 calls were received concerning flooding of cellars and entrances of blocks of apartments. Precipitation caused problems at central roads. 

Weather forecasters claim that heavy rain and hailstorm are expected on June 10-12 across Georgia. Strong wind is prognosticated in some regions at night.
