Extraordinary sitting to be held in parliament on June 21

Despite denouncement of President Giorgi Marhvelashvili on calling of an extraordinary sitting, the parliament will still hold the session on June 21 to discuss Constitutional changes. President once again became the subject of criticism on part of the parliamentary majority today.

President urged the parliament not to adopt constitutional changes through a speedily manner and approve the document which would be worked out through joint accord. Head of the state recommended that the parliament prepared a better version based on remarks provided by Venice Commission.
