New artificial barriers and action that roughly violates the fundamental rights of human beings - Tbilisi is assessing the next step of the occupation regime in Abkhazia.

Another wave of so-called Passports issuance has been launched into Georgia’s one of two occupied regions of Abkhazia.  The residents of occupied Gali district have already received a warning in that regard.

According to the decision of de-facto Abkhazian government, all current identification documents will be abolished from 2018.

As a result, ethnic Georgians residing in Gali district are facing the choice - to refuse from Georgian citizenship and obtain so called Abkhazian passport or to take document on Residence.
