The United States, Japan and South Korea have requested a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting to discuss North Korea’s firing of a missile over Japan, diplomats said on Monday, Reuters reports.

It was not immediately clear when the meeting of the 15-member Security Council would be held.
