Giorgi Mgebrishvili held meeting at field operations center

Minister of Internal Affairs has held meeting at field operations center. Giorgi Mgebrishvili got familiarized with the detailed information on fire-extinguishing activities held in the regions of the country and gave out new instructions to the members of the field operations center.

Minister personally got acquainted with the fire liquidation works held in the forest near to Artana village. Giorgi Mgebrishvili also met with the employees of the Emergency Situations Management Agency and Special Tasks Department who replaced firefighters under the rotation regulations.

In Telavi municipality, near to Artana village fire pockets are practically localized. At this moment, firefighters and employees of the Special Tasks Department are carrying out fire liquidation works in round-the-clock regime. Aviation is also involved in the operation.

Live force actively continues fire-extinguishing works of the fire pockets in the forest located near to Khakhabo village, Tusheti. Firefighters are using alternate fire-extinguishing technic and water. Rescuers are supplied with water from the special reservoirs.

Fire-extinguishing works are underway in Khulo municipality, on Shavnabada Mountain slope. At this moment up to 700 MIA employees and 2 helicopters are involved in the operation.
