Venice Commission approves Georgia’s constitutional changes

The Venice Commission approved Georgia’s constitutional changes on October 6. However, the difference in opinions still circulates about lack of the consensus, transformation onto Proportional (Party) system of elections starting 2020 parliamentary elections, distribution of bonus mandates and admission of formation of electoral blocs. 

President Giorgi Margvelashvili will have several days to make the decision. It is not yet know whether or not President will veto the project and send motivated remarks back to the parliament.
