President’s annual report in parliament- vacant seats and remarks to ruling team

The 104 MPs in the session hall and vacant seats meant for governmental members who did not arrive in Kutaisi. Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili presented his annual report in the supreme legislative body today. His 1-hour-long speech was followed by different reactions in the political circles. 

President talked about domestic, foreign and economic problems, duplication of functions of various state institutions, business, etc. He also stressed on disrespect to court system in reference to Sakdrisi gold mine. 

Some members of the ruling team have questions regarding messages of head of the state. The opposition shares the remarks expressed towards the government. 

Chairmen of factions took up the floor afterwards. They presented their viewpoints in 15-minute-long speech. 

Representatives of non-governmental organizations and Diplomatic Corps as well as chairpersons of Supreme and Constitutional Courts were present in the session hall.
