Maestro may be re-located to the building of former TV Channel 9 - Maestro Director General Levan Gachechiladze made the regarding statement.Maestro Director General plans to stop the process of bankruptcy of the company. Gachechiladze, along with the lawyers, is preparing the regarding statement.

The Board of Trustees of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GBP) will hold a sitting today.Three main issues will be discussed at the session: to approve the rule of draw with the aim to determine the term of authority for the members of the Board of Trustees, to conduct draw and to discuss the issue of announcing the external audit.

The sitting of Creditors’ Council of Maestro TV Company is scheduled to be held today. Lawyer of brothers Gia and Levan Gachechiladzes has applied to the court with demand of sitting’s adjournment. Baia Gadabadze, acting General Director of Maestro TV dismissed from the post by Partners’ Board claims that functioning of TV Company will be hampered if the sitting is postponed. Tbilisi City Court did not satisfy the complaint presented by Baia Gadabadze, dismissed Director of the Maestro TV. She requested the decision of the partners’ board regarding Levan Gachechiladze’s appointment as Director to be abolished. 

Irakli Kordzakhia, lawyer of Gia Gachechiladze, shareholder of Maestro TV Company says that application to Competition Agency on part of Maka Asatiani, 25% shareholder of Maestro, is devoid of ground. Lawyer said his defendant had not violated the Law on Broadcasting. He also commented on the decision of Public Registry, which temporary suspended the process of registration of Levan Gachechiladze as new General Director of Maestro TV. 

Baia Gadabadze has once again appealed to the Public Registry. She demands not to register Levan Gachechiladze as General Director of Maestro TV Company.

Gia Gachechiladze, the owner of 55% of Maestro TV Company’s shares demands explanations  from the government on the decision of the Public Registry.According to him, Public Registry cannot take decisions independently. He assessed the suspension of the registration to his brother on the post of Director as the fact of blackmail from media.

“The yesterday’s decision of the Public Registry  would not be made without the Justice Minister and my “friend” Prime Minister” -  Gia Gachechiladze, the owner of 55% of Maestro TV Company’s shares made the regarding statement.“The decision of the Public Registry was a step against the rule of law, media and free business. The Public Registry is a body that must execute laws and should not subordinate to blackmail and other manipulations.  It is an attempt to control public opinion through Rustavi 2 and Maestro TV, and the first victim of this is the very important state agency - Public Registry. Thus the Public Registry indirectly helps the process aimed at bankrupting the company”, said Gia Gachechiladze. 

Eka Mishveladze, journalist of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) has been terminated labor agreement. She received the notification in written form. Mishveladze says that she presented a written version of her new project in January, 2016 to GBP General Director. The response which she received says that the similar content and format project has already exists on First Channel. Mishveladze plans to continue legal dispute about her issue in the court. 

Mamuka Ghlonti, Founder of Maestro TV Company will open a lawsuit against the protocol made by Partners’ Board in several days. Based on the protocol, Levan Gachechiladze was appointed as General Director of TV. Ghlonti will undergo consultations with lawyers. The lawyer puts legitimacy of Gachechiladze’s serving as Gen. Director under question. 

Levan Gachechiladze, new General Director of Maestro TV is expecting the decision about his being registered on the position. He plans to arrive at Maestro after completion of procedures. Lawyer Irakli Kordzakhia says that despite legal dispute over TV station, journalists will be allowed to work in normal regime and pledges that Gachechiladze will not interfere in editorial independence. The lawyer says that an audit will be carried out and the amount of financial liabilities will be determined. 

Ucha Nanuashvili, Georgian Public Defender commented on the latest developments and legal dispute over Maestro TV Company.According to Nanuashvili, journalists have to be allowed to perform their professional duties and editorial independence should be maintained at TV so that there are no questions in the public. 

Mamuka Ghlonti, founder and 15% shareholder of Maestro TV Company plans to file a lawsuit against the protocol made at the sitting of partners. Lawyer says that he is waiting for the protocol approved through the notary rule.Based on the protocol, Baia Gadabadze, former General Director of Maestro TV was dismissed from port. Lawyers of Maka Asatiani, 25% shareholder of Maestro TV and Ghlonti both agree that TV Company is unable to fulfill financial obligations. 

Levan Gachechiladze, new General Director of Maestro TV will arrive at TV Company today to start performing his duties after he is registered in entrepreneur registry. Lawyer says that security guards have no right to prevent Gachechiladze from entering the building. 

Maka Asatiani, the 25% shareholder of Maestro TV , will meet the Maestro employees and the partners today. She arrived in Tbilisi last night.Maka Asatiani plans to meet with brothers Gia and Levan Gachechiladze. Asatiani plans to talk about the details of alienation of shares after consultations with lawyers.Maka Asatiani was met in the airport by  Baia Gadabadze.

From 8 February Maestro will broadcast without Maestro logo, - said Baia Gadabadze, who had been dismissed from director’s post by Maestro partners’ board.Baia Gadabadze is still registered as the Director General in the Registry, while owner of the Maestro control shares Gia Gachechiladze is going to appoint his brother Levan Gachechiladze as Director General.

Before the session verbal confrontation occurred between Gia Gachechiladze and General Director of TV Company Baia Gadabadze.

The sitting of Maestro TV Company business partners ended with noise and counter accusations.At the session General Director of TV Company Baia Gadabadze was dismissed from the post. The control package owner Gia Gachechiladze made the regarding decision. Levan Gachechiladze has been appointed as the TV Company Director.

The sitting of Maestro TV Company business partners will be held on February 4. One of the shareholders Maka Asatiani will raise the issue of dismissal of Gia Gachechiladze, singer who currently owns the control package of shares. Asatiani’s lawyer considers selling of shares as suspicious. There are several changes in terms of Maestro TV shares. One of the channel founders, singer Gia Gachechiladze has become an owner of the TV Company control package. Based on the information posted on website of National Public Registry, Gachechiladze owns 55% of the Maetsro shares. Other owners are Mamuka Glonti (15% of assets), Ekaterine Akobia (5) and Maka Asatiani (25%). According to the extract from the Public Registry, Gachechiladze is not authorized to alienate the 25% of his shares without all other partners’ consent.
