The first day of the Youth Olympic Festival Tbilisi – 2015. The competitions have started since morning.

3 800 sportsmen from 50 countries aged 14-18 are participating in 9 kinds of sports competitions. The festival will close on August 1. The competitions are ongoing at 11 sports arenas in Tbilisi.

The first success of the Georgian athletes at the Youth Olympic Festival – Georgian Tennis players won the tournaments. Anna Makatsaria defeated Azeri sportsman with the score 6:3, 6:0  Nikoloz Davliani defeated Hungarian sportsman 6:4, 6:3. The Georgian basketball team defeated the Turkish team as well.
