Assessments on decision of Imedi TV Company
Political assessments have been made since morning about
the decision of Imedi TV Company regarding the suspension of the
public-political talk shows. The opposition links the fact to the attempt of
the government to control media, ruling team talks about the freedom of speech
in Georgia.
Imedi TV has suspended airing public-political talk shows. The regarding decision was made
yesterday.
The TV Company has released a statement in this regard.
“Imedi TV
is temporarily suspending public-political talk shows in the autumn season.
The motive for the decision is our desire to change the format of the existing
programs and to develop new programs that we will offer to our viewers from
2016”, reads the statement.
