Babushera Cemetery heroes buried

The bodies transferred and identified from Babushera Brothers Cemetery of the occupied Abkhazia region were buried today at Dighomi Brothers Cemetery. Civil Funeral was held at Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral earlier this afternoon.

Representatives of Cabinet of Ministers, President of Georgia and oppositional politicians attended the public funeral.

Georgian soldiers were repatriated form Babushera through negotiations of coordination group established at the aegis of Red Cross. The 69 bodies out of 162 lost persons during the 1992-93 Georgian-Abkhazian hostilities are already identified.
