Gali schools discussed during joint sitting of committees

The 31 schools out of 58 schools are functioning in Gali region near the occupied Abkhazia territory of Georgia. All the schools are providing teaching in Russian language. The situation was discussed during the joint sitting of parliamentary committees.

Representatives of Abkhazian Autonomous Republic‘s government attended the sitting. Participants claimed that monitoring guaranteed by human rights international law had to be carried out on the occupied territory and that the problem had to be resolved through efforts of international community.
