56 300 first graders - New academic year 2017 with novelties


New academic year started in public schools of Georgia. 

575 000 pupils will study in public and private schools this year, including 56 300 first graders. From first to 12th grade, free textbooks will be provided

In academic year 2017-2018, schools are meeting with novelties. Table games will be introduced from September. From October, the labor lessons will be restored and the vocational education institutions will be assigned to conduct it.

The School meal is also changing. Selling of unhealthy products in the buffets will be prohibited and food monitoring at schools will be carried out by the Monitoring Service of Ministry of Education and Science.
