Consumer tariff for electricity remains unchanged, tariff to be changed only for commercial sector

The consumer tariff for electricity remains unchanged from 2017. Georgian National Energy Regulation Commission (GNERC) has voted for the regarding regulation. 

Some changes have referred to commercial tariff. The tariff will be changed only for the commercial sector, in particular, price of the average voltage of electricity will rise about by 0,35 tetris, while the price of high voltage electricity will be increased by 0,446 tetris. As for the low voltage electricity, it remains unchanged.

The representatives of the companies have remarks, who do not agree with the decision of GNERC.

The tariffs will take effect from 1 January 2017 and will be valid till 31 December 2017.
