National Movement summons Zurab Abashidze to Parliament

The Parliamentary oppositional National Movement Party is summoning Zurab Abashidze, Prime Minister's Special Representative for Relations with Russia, to the Parliament after his meeting with Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin. 

Salome Samadashvili applied to the Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee to summon Abashidze to the session. "We need to respond to the statement that was made a few days ago by Zurab Abashidze, according to which, the visa-free regime with Europe was achieved due to the dialogue with Russia. 

This is a direct attempt to mislead our society, as if we are must first develop our relationship with Russia, and then we will have success in terms of Euro-Atlantic integration. However, on the contrary, the irreversible European path of Georgia will help us regulate relations with Russia,” Samadashvili said.
