NGOs hold protest at Rustaveli Avenue

Non-governmental organizations demand that road security legislation is reinforced in the country. Representatives of the third sector held a protest outside the parliament building at central Rustaveli Avenue this afternoon and presented banners on security theme. Protesters stressed on alarming statistics of victims of road accidents. 

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) today reported that the driver, who participated in March 22 road accident at Aghmashenebeli Lane in Tbilisi that left 11-year-old child killed and the child’s mother critically injured, is detained. The detained driver is T. T. born in 1994.
