Holy Fire descends from Christ’s tomb

The Holy Fire descended from Christ’s tomb in Jerusalem at 15: 22 Tbilisi time. The believers gathered in Jerusalem and whole Christendom celebrate coming of Easter. 

The Georgian delegation will bring the Holy Fire to Georgia. It will be distributed in churches and then the believers will have the opportunity to take it home.

Today is Holy Saturday – The Saturday of Holy Week, also known as the Great Sabbath, Black Saturday, or Easter Eve, is the day after Good Friday. It is the day before Easter and the last day of Holy Week in which Christians prepare for Easter. It commemorates the day when Jesus Christ's body lay in the tomb and the Harrowing of Hell.
