Lawyer of Afgan Mukhtarli in expectation of response from Chief Prosecutor’s Office

Archil Chopikashvili, lawyer of Afgan Mukhtarli, Azerbaijani journalist who has lived in Georgia since 2015 and disappeared from Tbilisi, is in expectation of response from Chief Prosecutor’s Office.

The lawyer applied to Prosecutor’s Office with demand to launch investigation into the case since family members of the Azerbaijani journalist have questions about negligence of police officers.   

Azerbaijani journalist was kidnapped from Chitadze Street in Tbilisi and is currently kept detained at Baku prison.
